When it comes to achieving your goals, few know what it takes as well as Shane Davenport. Having been active in youth, prep, collegiate and professional baseball for over two decades, Shane has experienced the highs and lows of this great game.

It is this experience, along with an extensive career as an instructor that he brings to his
Hit & Run Academy. Following an 8-year tenure at the Ray Burris Academy of Sports Instruction in Fort Worth, Texas, Shane opened Hit & Run to better personalize his teaching and training to a more select audience.

Shane has trained countless individuals ages 4 and up in the fundamentals of baseball and softball. He has had the honor of seeing many of his students through high school, college, minor and major league careers including eight R.B.A.S.I. students who signed contracts to play under major league teams in 2004.

Shane always brings a high level of instruction, expertise and passion to his work.

His chief goal is to teach the physical and mental fundamentals, mechanics and movements, which will help your child achieve a higher degree of success in playing his/her sport.
