Shane
Davenport Biography
Shane Davenport opened Hit & Run in February 2006
to better serve a select clientele. He had previously instructed
at the Ray
Burris Academy of Sports Instruction in
Fort Worth, Texas for eight years.
In addition to
being drafted by the Chicago White Sox, and playing for the Evansville
Otters, Shane was also a standout for the University of Texas
at Arlington, Brookhaven Jr. College and Martin High School in
Arlington, Texas.Many of his records endure on each squad today.
In the summer
of 2002, Shane took a brief hiatus from teaching to play 1st base
for the newly reformed Fort Worth Cats, Rather than continue to pursue
professional baseball, Shane elected to return to his main passion:
teaching youth, prep and collegiate athletes.
